October 7, 2022 - More than 500 people from Ferrer have joined this year the second edition of the 'Days for Good', the corporate volunteering days promoted by the company with the aim of involving all people in the purpose of generating a positive impact on society. Between October 5 and 6, Ferrer people have been able to participate in 48 actions organized in Spain, Portugal, Austria, Mexico, Costa Rica, Peru, Chile and the United States.

All the activities were aimed at promoting equal opportunities through employability, access to health, food and education, as Ferrer has focused the second edition of the 'Days for Good' on its strategic pillar Social Justice. Through it, the company wants to contribute to a fairer and more equitable society, supporting people and groups in vulnerable situations.

"We are a company with a positive impact and we are committed to the people who work at Ferrer being the main activists of the purpose of generating a positive impact on society. In this sense, the 'Days for Good' are an opportunity to involve the whole team in our social and environmental activism as a company, a culture that goes far beyond these two days and permeates our daily activity and all the decisions we make," said Bea Vila, Chief People & Sustainability Officer at Ferrer.

Together with Social Justice, Ferrer completes its corporate strategy towards positive impact with the Great People pillars , to promote a culture focused on people and their talent, based on trust and responsibility, and Liveable Planet, with which the company promotes environmental protection. In 2021, the company allocated 61.4% of its net profits to social and environmental causes in line with its purpose of generating a positive impact on society.

From vegetable gardens and soup kitchens, to the construction of classrooms

It has also organized collaborations with entities for the labor reintegration of people in vulnerable situations in Costa Rica and Austria, and the construction of a classroom for the community telebaccalaureate in Mexico.

Among the actions dedicated to food, the harvest of crops in the horticulture spaces of the Ferrer Sustainability Foundation in Barcelona and Sant Pol de Mar (Barcelona) and the preparation of menus for soup kitchens, as well as the distribution of food to homeless people in Portugal, stand out. In the field of health, Ferrer has organized activities in Mexico to support children with chronic or advanced diseases.
