Mexico City, June 19, 2024 - We announce our support for the event "Tlaxcaltecas without Limits", organized by the State System for the Integral Development of the Family (SEDIF), which took place on June 18 and 19 at the Tlaxcala Convention Center. This event is designed to empower more than 1,000 women entrepreneurs in the State of Tlaxcala, providing them with essential tools and knowledge for the development of their business projects.

"At Ferrer, our goal is to use our business to fight for social justice. This event is a clear manifestation of our commitment to the communities in which we operate," said Pilar Du Solier Grinda, Head of People & Sustainability at Ferrer in Mexico. "We want to accompany these women in their entrepreneurial projects and give them tools to take their businesses to the next level."

The program includes conferences and workshops focused on strengthening the business skills of the participants, providing them with tools related to personal branding, communication, negotiation and decision-making, in addition to implementing strategies to improve their impact and address biases that may limit their professional development.

The event is part of SEDIF's state program "Heads of Household", which trains women to have their productive projects such as sewing workshops, grocery stores, tortilla shops and dining rooms. These enterprises, managed from homes, sustain families and seek to become agents of change, offering formal employment to more women. Started in 2022 with 600 women, in 2023 with 600 women and in 2024 the program will be launched for 600 more women.

"Our business is not an end in itself, but a means to generate substantial social changes. We work to achieve a level of economic profitability that guarantees the sustainability of the company and thus be able to invest in initiatives with a social and environmental impact, and in our people," added Pilar Du Solier.

With these actions, Ferrer seeks to inspire other companies to get involved in the social development of the communities where they operate. "The positive impact is multiplied when more organizations join initiatives like this," concluded Pilar Du Solier.
