We want to continue building the best place to work, which is why, last Saturday, June 11, at Ferrer we celebrated our first Family & Friends Day at our headquarters in Barcelona and at the centers of Sant Cugat. For an entire morning we brought together nearly 1,000 Ferrer comrades, family members, and friends to celebrate our culture, our purpose, and our activism. Attendees were able to experience our Ferrer for good through numerous activities inspired by the strategic pillars and business focus.
"It has been very exciting to be able to meet on this fun day. Because we want to share our purpose of generating a positive impact on society also with those we love the most," says Mònica Fiori, head of Health & Safety.
We shared our leadership based on trust and responsibility through the Castellers, who invited anyone who wanted to try how to climb a Castell; we listen to beautiful stories of diversity with our stories from respect; discover the exciting world of science with a show by the team of the youtuber and science communicator Dani Jiménez or creating slime; we also became Phantasticals, characters that symbolize our focus therapeutic areas, with the activity of face painting; and we responded to the challenges we have to build a fairer and more equitable society, with people at the centre and guaranteeing a habitable planet by building our own city for good. In addition, at the Sant Cugat centres, attendees were able to take a tour of the chemical plant or the production area, laboratories or warehouse in the pharmacies.
The Ferrer Sustainability Foundation also had an important presence with an activity where you could create your own mini garden and take it home or decorate delicious cupcakes against food waste, made with all the bananas, including the skin. For this last activity, in addition, a complete recipe book was prepared to make the most of the food.
For its part, the Ferrer-Salat Music Foundation offered 4 hours of live music by groups made up of the scholarship students of this entity.
The atmosphere was festive and people were grateful for the initiative. "I loved the experience, first because I was able to get to know where my mother works, her colleagues and visit the production area, and second because there were a lot of activities, especially for children, and a very fun atmosphere. We had a great time!" said Claudia Pedrero, 20, who attended the Family & Friends in Sant Cugat.
These are just some of the many options offered by our first Family & Friends: a meeting where, above all, there was fun.
With this initiative we managed to have more cohesive teams, show our pride for good and inspire with our activism beyond the borders of Ferrer. And it is the people who make Ferrer the best place to work.
